The apparatus is designed for determining evaporation loss of greases and oils in accordance with ASTM D972 and IP 183 standards. It features a durable benchtop steel case with an enamel finish and a stainless steel bath equipped with a drain valve, stainless steel heaters, and high-efficiency thermal insulation. A stainless steel cover with access openings enables easy placement of evaporation cells.

The system includes precision mass flow controllers with digital displays and flow adjustment knob, an electric stirrer, and a microprocessor-based thermoregulator with PID control for precise temperature stability. Operating from ambient temperature up to 220 °C, the unit secures overheat and low-level protection. It runs on 220 V/50 Hz power, consumes 2000 W, and is available in two- and four-place models.
