Oil Separation From Lubricating Grease

The oil separation apparatus determines the tendency of oil and lubricating grease to separate at elevated temperatures. Conforming to ASTM D6184 and FTM 791-321 specifications, it includes a 60-mesh nickel gauze cone with a wire handle, a tall form 200mL beaker, and a cover with a hook. The sample is placed in the wire gauze cone, and weight loss is measured after heating at the specified test temperature for a set period. The apparatus withstands temperatures up to 400°C.
