CAV 5 Series Automatic Benchtop Kinematic Viscometer
The CAV 5 is a next-generation automated capillary viscometry platform from Cannon Instrument Company, designed to perform viscosity testing according to ASTM D445 viscosity test method.
It combines the proven technologies of the CAV 2100 viscometer, miniAV viscometer, and CAV 4 viscometer into a flexible single-bath system that optimizes capacity, temperature control, and viscosity range while providing built-in redundancy. Features such as TargetHeat™, Start Optimization, and WashPort™ enhance thermal conditioning, sample handling, cleaning efficiency, and measurement accuracy.
The modern interface with embedded computing enables standalone operation and remote method deployment across networks. With a compact footprint and scalable configurations CAV-D, CAV-R, and CAV-X the platform delivers reliable, automated viscosity measurement and adaptable workflows for a wide range of laboratory applications.
